Summary:

Bill Baumel is the Managing Director of the Ohio Innovation Fund. Bill has spent his career investing in venture capital-backed emerging growth companies, he has more than twenty years of experience, and close ties with a significant network of key Silicon Valley leaders. He was awarded Venture 100 status as one of the top 100 VC’s in the United States, with successful exits via multiple Initial Public Offerings (Infinera, ebix, Dexcom, Vimicro) and acquisitions by companies such as Medtronic, Dell, SAP, Intuit, Stryker, Hitachi Data Systems, Motorola, Calix, and Skyworks. His areas of focus include SaaS, Big Data, Cyber Security and Med Tech. He’s served in roles ranging from CEO to COO and CFO in both private and public companies.
